Yeats, William Butler: Egy ivós dal (A Drinking Song in Hungarian)

Portre of Yeats, William Butler

A Drinking Song (English)

Wine comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That’s all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
I look at you, and I sigh.

Egy ivós dal (Hungarian)

A bor szájon át csurran,
S szemen át a szerelem;
Csak ezt tudom biztosan,
S aggként ér majd végzetem.
Felemelem poharam,
Sóhajtok, s arcod nézem.
