elindultak és mentek,
mások velük szembe jöttek
 
előre, hisz egyformák vagyunk, csak előre, sosem oldalra,
hátra nézni már nem tilos a vesztesnek, győztesnek
 
üzenni kell néha azoknak, akik célt értek,
esetleg az otthon maradottaknak, végre
 
elindultak hát, és mentek,
vissza, a sötétség előtti időkbe.

others came opposite them
 
forward, since we’re all alike, just forward, never this or that side,
it isn’t forbidden any more for losers and winners to look back
 
the successful should sometimes be sent a message,
or perhaps those at long last who’ve stayed at home
 

so there they set off and kept going,
backward, into times prior to darkness
