És gyúl az égben
az esti fény
 
száll, csak száll, kering benne
ezernyi szép hópehely 
 
ragyogva csilingelnek,
míg lassan jégtündérek lesznek –
 
csak álmainkban térnek vissza,
haza, az ég és a föld közé.

And the evening glow
lights up in the sky
 
just flies, descends, circling in it
are lovely snowflakes by the thousands
 
they tinkle brightly,
till slowly they turn into fairies of ice -
 
only in our dreams do they ever return
to their home between the sky and the earth.
