Léda a hajón (Hungarian)

Hurráh, jön az Öröm hajója
És hozza Lédát már felém.
Virágos, pompás szőnyegén,
Én asszonyom, már látlak, látlak:
Hajadban a vérvörös rózsa.
Ugye kivánsz? Én is kivánlak.
Hurráh, mi rég nem láttuk egymást.

Óh, jaj, szédülök itt a parton,
Óh, jaj, most mindjárt itt leszel,
Kérdezlek majd és kérdezel
És összecsap két szomju-lélek
És fejemet kebledre hajtom.
Jaj, ne. Ne jöjj. Reszketek, félek.
Óh, jaj, mi rég nem láttuk egymást.

Leda on the Boat (English)

Hurrah, the pleasure boat has arrived

Bringing Leda at last to me.

On a splendid carpet I see

My flower-covered woman arrive

In your hair a rose, red as blood.

Do you want me? I do want you too

Hurrah, it’s been so long since we met.

Oh, dear, I feel faint here on the shore,

Oh, dear, you shall be here in no time,

I shall ask you questions, you shall chime

And so, two hungry souls shall collide

My head on the bosom I adore.

Oh no. No, don’t come. I shake inside.

Oh, dear, it’s been so long since we met.
