Eljött. Béke.

Szerény béke,

De hálával

Veszem ezt is,

Jó pihenni,

Ha az ember

Csatát veszt is.

Furcsa béke:

Hallgat, talpig

Feketében,

Mint egy titkos

Esti virág,

Mely az ében

Alkonyatban

Nem egyéb, csak

Néma illat,

Mit az ember

Behunyt szemmel

Mélyre szívhat,

Elmosódva,

Álmosodva

Nem keresve,

Milyen lehet

Az illatnak

Szirom-teste:

Szép virág-e,

Mint az ifjú,

Mint a pőre

Rózsabimbók

Hajnalszínű,

Gyenge bőre,

Vagy csak fáradt,

Régi rózsa,

Mely reggelre

Széthull némán,

Föld porával

Elkeverve?
