Ladányi Mihály: Végigment a kávéház magányosai közt

He went by all the singles in the coffee house (Angol)He went by all the singles in the coffee house and halted in the cigarette smoke by the table of sweaty-palmed lovers carefully tucked the violin under his chin and began playing some nauseating little tunes so as to wearily continue to put the bite on people in this dive as he did in all the others
The old codgers and the lovers like children waggle potties in the morning waggled their heads to the tempo of fashionable little tunes until someone called out to the fiddler:
Know any Bach? And the light of a fugue began to permeate the smoke.
And he lost interest in cadging took light from smoke and went without farewells.

Now whilst listening to sickly world-tunes I clutch the small change for a sentence so I can throw it into someone's hat who's crapping on about lost loves and happiness:
Know any Bach?!
