Zum Zahnarzt kam jüngst ein Skelett
und bat ihn höflich und sehr nett,
ihm gründlich in den Mund zu spähen
und sein Gebiss mal anzusehen.

Der Zahnarzt folgte dieser Bitte
und sprach: "Die Zähne vorn und in der Mitte
sind gut, doch sag‘ ich mit Bedacht:
Das Zahnfleisch ist‘s, was Sorgen macht."

Egy csontváz, jó, szelíd alak

aggódott fogai miatt.

Fogászhoz fordult izibe:

kukkantson a szájába be.

Az a kérésnek eleget téve

belenézett a váz fejébe.

„Metszőfog, zápfog: mind sorakoznak,

ínye azonban gondot okozhat.”
