Carson, Anne: Apostolváros (Apostle Town in Hungarian)

Portre of Carson, Anne
Portre of Góz Adrienn

Back to the translator

Apostle Town (English)

After your death.
It was windy every day.
Every day.
Opposed us like a wall.
We went.
Shouting sideways at one another.
Along the road.
It was useless.
The spaces between us.
Got hard.
They are empty spaces.
And yet they are solid.
And black and grievous.
As gaps between the teeth.
Of an old woman.
You knew years ago.
When she was.
Beautiful the nerves pouring around in her like palace fire.

Apostolváros (Hungarian)

Halálod után.
Minden nap szeles volt.
Minden nap.
Elválasztott bennünket, mint egy fal.
Mi mentünk.
Oldalvást ordítoztunk egymásra.
Végig az úton.
Hasztalan volt.
Az űr közöttünk.
Megkeményedett.
Üres helyek azok.
És mégis áthatolhatatlanok.
És feketék, nyomasztóak.
Mint egy öregasszony
Hiányos fogsora.
Évekkel ezelőtt tudtad.
Amikor ő még itt volt.
Gyönyörű az idegek szétáradása benne, akár a kastélytűz.
