Dickinson, Emily: Csak kétszer vesztettem sokat (I never lost as much but twice (49) in Hungarian)

Portre of Dickinson, Emily

I never lost as much but twice (49) (English)

I never lost as much but twice,
And that was in the sod.
Twice have I stood a beggar
Before the door of God!

Angels -- twice descending
Reimbursed my store --
Burglar! Banker -- Father!
I am poor once more!

Csak kétszer vesztettem sokat (Hungarian)

Csak kétszer vesztettem sokat,
Saját terepemen.
Kétszer álltam mint koldus én
Ajtódnál, Istenem!

Boltom fel — kétszer is
Töltötték Angyalok —
Rabló! Bankár — Atyám!
Megint szegény vagyok!
