Dickinson, Emily: Két Félből állt a Tudatom — (I felt a Cleaving in my Mind — in Hungarian)

Portre of Dickinson, Emily

I felt a Cleaving in my Mind — (English)

I felt a Cleaving in my Mind —
As if my Brain had split —
I tried to match it — Seam by Seam —
But could not make them fit.

The thought behind, I strove to join
Unto the thought before —
But Sequence ravelled out of Sound
Like Balls — upon a Floor.

Két Félből állt a Tudatom — (Hungarian)

Két Félből állt a Tudatom —
Ketté vált szint’ Agyam —
Illesztgettem — Varratait —
Nem passzolt sehogyan.

Össze akartam gyúrni két
Fél volt-gondolatot,
De leszaladtak mint a Szem
S Pamut-Gombolyagok.
