Dickinson, Emily: Hópelyhek. 36 (Snow flakes. 36 in Hungarian)

Portre of Dickinson, Emily

Back to the translator

Snow flakes. 36 (English)

I counted till they danced so
Their slippers leaped the town,
And then I took a pencil
To note the rebels down.
And then they grew so jolly
I did resign the prig,
And ten of my once stately toes
Are marshalled for a jig!

Hópelyhek. 36 (Hungarian)

Keringtek, s tánccipőik
A várost ellepték
Elővettem a tollam
Hogy lejegyezzem én
De egyre többen járták
Hát fennköltség helyett
Méltóságos lábujjaim
Táncra perdültenek
