Dickinson, Emily: Felmentem az égbe... (374) (I went to Heaven (374) in Hungarian)

Portre of Dickinson, Emily
Portre of Károlyi Amy

Back to the translator

I went to Heaven (374) (English)

I went to Heaven —
'Twas a small Town —
Lit — with a Ruby —
Lathed — with Down —

Stiller — than the fields
At the full Dew —
Beautiful — as Pictures —
No Man drew.
People — like the Moth —
Of Mechlin — frames —
Duties — of Gossamer —
And Eider — names —
Almost — contented —
I — could be —
'Mong such unique
Society —

Felmentem az égbe... (374) (Hungarian)

Felmentem az égbe,
Kisváros e hely,
Rubintól fényes,
Padlója pehely.
Némább mint a rét
Harmattal tele,
Kép, mit nem rajzolt
Senkise.

Mecheln-i keretben
Lepke a nép,
Pókháló a tett,
A rangok: pihék.

Itt élnék majdnem
Betelve tovább,
Oly választékos
Társaság.
