Levertov, Denise: A holdat akarom (II) (Wanting the Moon (II) in Hungarian)

Portre of Levertov, Denise

Wanting the Moon (II) (English)

Not the moon. To be a bronze head
inhabited by a god.
                A torso of granite
left out in the weather ten thousand years,
adored by passing clouds.
Their shadows painting it, brushstrokes of dust blue.
Giving themselves to it in infinite rain.
To be a cloud. Sated with wandering, seize
the gaiety of change from within, of dissolution,
of raining.
To lie down in the dreams
of a young man whose hair
is the color of mahogany.

egy fiatal férfi álmaiban, aki
