Hodgins, Philip: Átsétálok a vetésen (Walking Through the Crop in Hungarian)

Portre of Hodgins, Philip

Walking Through the Crop (English)

It doesn't matter any more
the way the wheat is shivering
on such a beautiful hot day
late in the afternoon, in Spring.

I couldn't care about the sound
of insects frying in the heat
or how a flock of cockatoos
has one up in a brilliant sheet.

I had a list I tried to keep.
Sometimes I even wrote it down.
It had all sorts of private things
like images, sensations, sounds...

There's nothing in these dying days.
I've given everything away.

Átsétálok a vetésen (Hungarian)

Most már az se számít
hogy így reszket a búza
egy ilyen gyönyörű forró délutánon
nem int felém a tavasz ujja.

Már nem érzek semmit
amikor a hőségben bogarak feje fő
vagy ahogy egy csapat kakadu
felröppen mint színes lepedő.

Volt listám, próbáltam tartani.
Néha jegyzeteket írtam.
Voltak saját dolgaim; képek,
hangok, érzések után sírtam...

Mostanában nem vagyok se élő, se holt.
Minden elhagyott, pedig enyém se volt.
