Pintér Tibor: The silence (A csend in English)

Portre of Pintér Tibor

A csend (Hungarian)

A csend ott érik meg, a kucorgó

zsigerekben.

Nád között szél jár,

tán rozsomák motoz

                   odakünn.

Kévénk eloldva várakozunk.

                          Várjuk Őt.

A csendben felszeletelőt.

The silence (English)

Silence ripens there, in the cowering

innards.

Wind moves among the reeds,

maybe a wolverine is prowling

                      outside.

With sheaf untied we wait.

                                  We wait for Him.

The one who slices up in silence.
