Márkus László: Seven Haikus (Hét haiku in English)

Portre of Márkus László

Hét haiku (Hungarian)

csak alamizsna
az öröm sorsod fukar
sosem bőkezű
*
ne hidd hogy a bűn
csak tiéd minden tetted
másokra vetül
*
nem csak más hibás
ne feledd te is más vagy
mások számára
*
kitárt ablakom
mögött rigolyás lélek
várja a tavaszt
*
sorsunk felszántja
lelkünk ám béke helyett
kételyt vet bele
*
egy kibertérben
csak pixelrózsát ültetsz
nincsen illata
*
az idő száguld
bár járásom lelassul
és szűkül a tér

Seven Haikus (English)

the joy you get is
just alms your fate is thrifty
never generous
*
don’t ever think sin
is only yours all your deeds
affect the others
*
not just others are
to blame remember you’re, too,
other for others
*
behind my open
window a nitpicky soul
is waiting for spring
*
our own fate ploughs up
our soul but instead of peace
it sows doubt in it
*
in a cyberspace
you can just plant a pixel-rose
it’s got no fragrance
*
time speeds hastily
though my steps become slower
and space is tighter
