Kamarás Klára: Farewell in November (Búcsú novemberben in English)

Portre of Kamarás Klára

Búcsú novemberben (Hungarian)

Még három nap,
s én búcsúzom már.
Olyan ez, mintha itt se volnál.

Még két napunk van.
Menni kéne
együtt virágos, víg mezőre.

November ez!
Nincsen virága,
csak eső hull letört faágra.

Nem akarok
búcsúzni. Fájhat.
Ne nyomja bánatom a vállad.

Ha elmentél,
majd így, magamban
sír fel, mi visszavonhatatlan.

Farewell in November (English)

Another three days
and already I'm saying good bye.
An act which seems your absence to imply.

We have two more days.
We ought to go
together to some cheerful flower laden meadow.

This is November
No flowers grow,
only rains falling on a broken bough.

I do not want
to say farewells. It must be hurting.
Let not my sorrow be your shoulder's burden.

When you have left
and alone I'll be,
what is irreversible, will weep in me.
