De mit csináljunk az életünkkel,

Ha fáj?

Igen: nagyot akarjunk,

Igen: forrjon agyad,

Holott tudjuk, hogy milyen kicsinység

A Nagy.

Igen: élj türelemmel,

Igen: hallgass, ha fáj.

Várd meg, hogy jöjjön a nagy professzor:

Halál.

De mit csináljunk az életünkkel,

Ha fáj?

Yes: keep living whilst we live,

Yes: that's the rule - a bane,

But what can we do when our life is filled

With pain?

Yes: let's aim for something big,

Yes: let your thought sprout wings,

And yet we do know how trifling are all

Big Things.

Yes: live with patience,

Yes: dumb when pains arise,

Keep on waiting for that great professor:

Demise.

Yes: keep living whilst we live,

Yes: that's the rule - a bane,

But what can we do when our life is filled

With pain?
