Még alig volt reggel, már megint este van.

Még alig volt tavasz, már megint itt a tél.

It was barely morning, 'tis evening once again.

Spring had barely ended, yet now it's wintertime.

Juliska, my dear one, barely have we met, yet

You're my wife and have been my wife for quite a time.

We barely stopped riding upon our father's knee,

Soon we'll lie with forebears, that, too, will come to pass…

Life’s a shadow merely, of racing clouds that are
