N. N. ismét gyönyörü volt.
K. elfelejtett üdvözölni.
P. nem vett észre.

Kinn, a toalettben
egymás mellett álltunk egy öreg úrral.
Éreztem, hogy ő is ivott. De a tükörben,
ott másról volt szó,
ott mintha egy bárány
tört-zúzott volna,
ott valami nagy szelídség
azt mondta: megítéllek téged.

N. N. was beautiful again.
K. forgot to greet me.
P. had not noticed me.
 
An old gent and I stood side by side
outside in the toilet.
I felt he had been drinking as well. But in the mirror
there was something different,
there it was as if a lamb
had been crashing and crushing,
there some great meekness
had said: I judge you.
