Énekel a fa (Hungarian)

a madarak lenyelték a hangot,
de begyükből felbugyborékolt:
dallamok, szavak, formák potyogtak
az avarra.

 „a fák énekelnek” – mormogja a költő
monitor fénye mélyíti ráncait
nem látja hát nem tudja:
ez már az öregség jele

tovább  pötyög a billentyűzeten
mindent elment valahová:
tán egyszer megnyitja valaki…

The Tree Is Singing (English)

birds have swallowed the sound,
but it has bubbled up from their pouch:
tunes, words, shapes kept dropping
on the carpet of fallen leaves.

’trees are singing’, the poet mutters
his wrinkles seem sharper by the light of a screen
he doesn’t see them and so he doesn’t know:
these are already marks of old age –

he keeps strumming on the keyboard
he saves everything in some doc:
one day perhaps someone will open them…
