Sebestyén Péter: The nine deaths of Lord Musashi (Musashi Úr kilenc halála in English)

Portre of Sebestyén Péter

Musashi Úr kilenc halála (Hungarian)

Hallás se hallja:
vér-feketítő holdba
hívnak a hangok.

Darvak táncában
szárnyakra dőlve dalol;
elkárhozottan.

Az álmot árnyak
kóstolják; kövér varjak
a koponyákon.

Száznyolc irányban,
sehol, sehová. A test;
a szív; a szellem.

Nyúlós köd-tajték
bújtat. Most jön, aki öl,
ágrecsegéssel.

Írástudó vagy
fejvadász; nem tudtam, hogy
mindkettő leszek.

Hatalmasan halsz:
hegyek hó-homályában,
hajnal hűlt helyén.

Üres a ház. Szél
csapkod ajtót, ablakot;
tör-zúz a szívben.

Lányok sírnak és
fiúk sírnak. Láttak hát
szép szerelmeket.

The nine deaths of Lord Musashi (English)

Defying hearing,
voices beckon one to a
blood-blackening moon.

In the dance of cranes,
he's leaning on wings and sings
as one of the damned.

The dream is tasted
by shades, Fat carrion crows
settle on the skulls.

Hundred and eight ways,
nowhere, anywhere. Body,
heart and the spirit.

Mist hides you with its
clammy froth.  The one, who kills,
comes whilst twigs crackle.

Scribe or head-hunter;
I did not know that one day
I will become both.

You mightily die
in the snow-gloom of mountains
where dawn's trace had cooled.

The house is empty.
Wind bangs doors, windows; crushes
about in the heart

The girls are crying,
the boys cry. Well, they did see
beautiful loving.
