Acsai Roland: The racing carrier pigeon and the falcon (A versenypostagalamb és a sólyom in English)

Felreptették egy ismeretlen helyen;
Szíve helyén izzó vasdarab lüktetett,
És vonzani kezdte
A távoli galambdúc mágnese –
Száguldva indult hazafelé.
 
De a sólyom a galambdúc
Mágnesénél is erősebb volt.
Lecsapott rá a levegőben,
Kiszakította a mágneses erőtérből,
És betömött vele két örökké éhes szájat.

They released it at an unknown place;
A piece of glowing iron throbbed in place of its heart
And the distant magnet of the pigeon-loft
Began to draw it —
Soaring, it started for home.
 
But the falcon was even stronger
Than the magnet of the pigeon-loft.
It swooped on it mid-air,
tore it from the magnetic force-field,
And stuffed two ever-hungry mouths with it.
