Szegedi elégia (Hungarian)
Vonatom a pusztán át Járja magányos útját. A vonatablakból látom: Traktorok róják a földeket. Végig úton maradni, Ez a vágyam. Égi tócsába mártom Lábaim. Mégis: Folyó mossa Léptem határait. Cserépedényben hegytörmelékek. Fel-feldobban egy ló, Kuvaszok csaholnak a földeken. Görög bennem a gond. Pirkad. Futásomat senki sem látja, Tovább, futok tovább a napfelkeltébe. Az idő vedlik, a szél földig hajol. Mindent kézbe veszek újra. Az ég magas, itt vagyok megint. Uploaded by | Fehér Illés |

The Szeged lament (English)
Along its lonely course, the train
crosses the plain.
From the train window I see
tractors notching the fields.
To stay on course till the end,
that is my wish.
I dip my feet
into a puddle in the sky.
And yet:
a river washes
the boundaries of my steps.
Chippings of mountains
in a clay pot.
Horses stomp from time to time,
mongrel dogs
yelp in the fields.
Worry is gorging itself within me.
Dawn comes.
No one can see my run.
Onwards,
onwards I run,
into the sunrise.
Time throws its skin,
the wind bows down to the ground.
I touch
everything anew.
High is the sky,
I’m here again.
