Errefelé, már
csontokra aszott
az élő történelem.
Fejkendők alól
fel-feltör még az ima,
megcsillan a remény,
lesütött szemmel ücsörög,
görnyedt háttal,
a ráncba bújt erény.
Veretes mondatokból
mállik betűkké az értelem,
jelenbe omlik a múlt,
s a régi neveket
csak sírköveken,
ha meglelem.
Ebben a nagy,
végtelen feladásban,
amíg félelem nélküli
önmagam keresem,
a kútgárgyán
üresen tátong
a mélybe hulló
érzelem.
