minden
oly
ingatag.
Bárány bőrben farkaskiáltás hallatszik,
s nincs más kilátás,
kivándorol,
megváltást remélve mind,
kinek nincsen reménye.
Otthont csak karod ölel rám,
nem fogok elszaladni gyáván,
mert ígérted: árvák Atyja vagy.
Így
kérlek
most,
oltalmat adj!
Öleld Magadhoz, mind, ki Rád tekint,
ki csak nyögni képes, vagy kezével int,
ölelj húsvéti reményt szívemre,
minden emberrel láttasd, ki vagy Te!
Föltámadásod erejébe lépjünk,
Terád, mint élő Krisztusra nézzünk,
s éljünk!

Easter Prayer (English)

I wrap myself up in your white linen,
it’s cold down here, my Lord,
our life’s unsafe, we’ve wasted your valuable hoard.
No,
we don’t listen to you,
just keep talking,
ask you for what we the best think,
we
just use you and keep hoping.
We vegetate while battles are fought,
there’s no love and no talk,
only fear among those who still as Humans walk,
everything’s
so
unsteady.
Wolves howl disguised in sheepskin,
and there’s no more to expect,
all people
who have no hope emigrate
in the hope of salvation.
Only your arms embrace home around me,
I won’t run away cowardly,
for you promised to be Father to the fatherless.
So
I ask you
now,
protect us!
Embrace all who attend to You,
those who can just moan, or wave their hands,
embrace Easter hope round my heart,
make all people see who You are!
Let’s enter the power of your resurrection,
we should You, as the living Christ see,
and live!
