meg újságot

én stollwerck cukorkáért jártam hozzá
1967-ben
ő minden találkozásunknál sajnálta hogy meghalt az apukám
és mindig küldött még egy stollwercket a testvéremnek is
hazáig szaladtam
leültem az udvaron a kút melletti padra
és megettem mindkettőt
a második sosem ízlett
elemér bácsi rég meghalt
a szemüveges férfi
azzal a fekete táskával itt a buszon
szakasztott a mása
épp van egy karamella a zsebemben
a legjobbkor

the place had a fabulous tobacco scent
he sold papers
and lottery
i always went there for stollwerck toffee
in 1967
whenever we met he always felt pity that my dad had died
and always sent a stollwerck for my brother too
i ran all the way home
sat down on the bench beside the well in the yard
and i ate them both
the second one always tasted sour
uncle elemér died long ago
the man wearing glasses
with the black bag here on the bus
is the spitting image of him
i happen to have a toffee in my pocket
perfect timing
