Táncol a sivatagi nő (Magyar)
Táncol a sivatagban
az önfeledt sivatagi nő.
Nagy-nagy csupaszság
körülötte, homokdombok
és homokhegyek és
szikrázó éles napsütés.
Távolról, remegve
figyelem, ahogy forog,
ahogy táncol, valami
ősi, valami szokatlan
ritmusra lépdel:
hatalmasan és gyönyörűen.
Egyre növekszik a szem-
határon, csadorja lobog
a szélben, és én csak
bámulom, bűvölten,
miként az elítélt,
hóhérját, ha nézi:
bűvölten csodálom
ezt a táncot. |
Dancing desert woman (Angol)
She dances in the desert
that happy-go-lucky woman of the desert.
A great big bareness
surrounds her, sandhills
and mountains of sand and
sparkling, glaring sunshine
Trembling, I watch
from afar how she spins,
how she dances, she strides
mightily, beautifully
to a timeless,
unusual rhythm.
She keeps growing
on the horizon, her chador
billows in the wind, and I only
stare, enchanted,
like one who had been sentenced
would look at his executioner:
enchanted, I admire
this dance.
