A harmadik nap esni kezdett a hó (Magyar)
S a harmadik nap esni kezdett a hó. On the third day the snow began to fall (Angol)
The first day was good for forgetting everything; the second for remembering it all. And on the third day snow began to fall. And suspicion was born, that from then on it will always keep falling, from forehead to mouth, from mouth to groin, from top to toe, throughout my life. It will snow from the ceiling, from the telephone when I raise the receiver, the fading childhood sky, when I look back. Only the phantom of snow will roam among the snow-bound trees and ricks, straddle blackened-out fields and crown the refugees of war. And by then I knew, that I won't be alone, this snow-fall will be with me wherever I go, will sit down beside me in the train, cross oceans with me, and in airless city nights filled with the smoke of rubber tires, address me in my mother tongue and conquer countries for me, for it was I, who wanted to conquer them, and when I don't even have a country because I'll not have the strength to admit it, I will lock myself into this snow-fall like someone donning a white shirt: a white shirt on the final day.
