a szürkület olvadó hajnali menedék eltakarnak tar bokrok árnyai
elkésett szarvasbikák hörögnek kánonban bele a látatlanba
nagyapám mindent lát ő a köd és ő a hörgés
én csak állok ő a part ő a lépés én csak nézek ahogy ő

I just looked (Angol)
my childhood is just
fifty metres from our house
sometimes I pocket my years
and go on foot
to visit my babblings
the shore of the Ipoly
is a milk-white clump of mist
the pasture coats itself
in icy mud
I and
my mother
guard the shore
we protect it from winter
as if this taking care of it were
a childish prank
barren branches and frozen buds
crackle beneath our feet
after
the first five steps
my mother will be the mist of the Ipoly-shore
she is calm
she will be responsible for the new spring
her moving within the landscape
can barely be seen
mother dreams with clods
looks for cockchafer grubs
inside them
the cold and I
throw bowl-candles into
the frosty river
flames lie
onto the flow
I do not see any
flicker out
the twilight is a melting
refuge of dawn
shadows of bare bushes hide us
late bull-deer
rattle counterpoints
into the unseen
my grandfather sees everything
he the mist and the rattling
I just stand
he is the shore he is the step
I just look
as he does
