Tóth Árpád: This day also (Ez a nap is Angol nyelven)

This day also (Angol)This day also, Like the others, Gave up its lease. Evening came too, Like all others. Now there is peace.
Austere this peace, But I'm thankful, This I attest. Even after Losing battles, It's good to rest.
Strange is this peace: Black attired, Quiet and stark, Like a secret Evening flower Which, come the dark
Fall of the day, Is no more than A silent scent, One that one can, Eyes closed, breathe in And be content.
Not enquiring As one's fading… Sleep be handy. What sort could the Petal body Of this scent be:
Pretty like half - Opened roses As they begin, With their naked Sunrise - coloured, Soft, tender skin,
Or a tired Rose that wilts and, By break of day, Will fall apart And, mixed with earth, To dust decay?
