Egyszer csak rájössz:
mindened megvan
a szemhéjad mögött
s mindened elszórtad,
mint szántott sorok között.

Háttered számlálatlan tél
s te itt vagy mégis győztesen
ebben a zöld-zöld,
éles fű-zengésben,
akárha újszülött bogár
sétálgatsz fényesen,
túlélő, kit csak következő
lépése érdekel.

Minden voltál:
akváriumba dugott hal,
s nemtelen titán,
mint régi seb,
most heged lilán
meggyötört érzelmi
intelligenciád.
Immár egyetlen vagy,
mondhatni szende,
s csak nézel mosolyogva,
határtalan messze,
akárha magadba –
nézel derűsen, mint kő-Buddha

One day you'll come to realise
that you had all you needed
beneath your eyelids and,
as if among ploughed rows,
you've scattered it all away.

 
You have countless winters behind you,
yet here you are, victorious,
among these sharp
green-green grass reverberations,
like a new-born beetle
shining, walking about,
a survivor with interest only
is the next step to be taken.
 
You have been everything:
fish in a bowl
and genderless titan,
like an old wound,
your tormented
emotional intelligence
is turning to purple scab.
By now alone, and
could be said: quite meek,
you only look and smile
into a boundless distance,
as if it were your very self,
genially, like a Buddha carved of stone.
