Város (Hungarian)
Házak, paloták, esti fény. Isten mezejéről jövök én. Házak, paloták, palotasorok, szépek, büszkék, hatalmasok. Házak, paloták, kövek, kövek – Hol hajtom le a fejemet? Házak, paloták, éji fény. Társtalan csavarog a jövevény. Házak, paloták, palotasorok, mint kő-hegyláncok, olyanok. Kő-hegyláncokban kő-szivek – Mit is vártam én tőletek? Házak, paloták, hajnali fény. Lehunyja szemét a jövevény. Házak, paloták, palotasorok, szépek vagytok ti, de gonoszok: romokat látok, sujtó tüzeket, tornyaitokon az itéletet!

Town (English)
Houses, palaces, evening sun,
from God's own meadow do I come.
Houses, palaces, orderly crowd,
with beauty filled and strong, and proud.
Houses, palaces, stones appressed -
where can I lay my head to rest?
Houses, palaces, night’s fading flame.
Forlornly tramps the one who came.
Houses, palaces, in rows they feign
a stony, cragged mountain chain.
Stone heart in stone with stone bedecked,
from you what else could I expect?
Houses, palaces, light of the dawn.,
Newcomers close their eyes forlorn.
Houses, palaces, rows of you,
lovely you are, but evil too:
ruins I see, a flame that devours,
the sentence passed upon your towers!
