Biography

Marion Poschmann, was born on December 15, 1969 in Essen, Germany. Poschmann studied German language and literature studies, philosophy and slavic studies in Bonn and Berlin, also scenic writing at the Berlin University of the Arts. She published several novels and 3 books of poetry. Her poems also appeared in Macondo (4/2000 and 9/2003), Bella triste (18/2007 and 23/2009) and in “Der Große Conrady” (2008). In 2005 she was nominated for the German Bookprize (Deutscher Buchpreis) for her novel “Schwarzweißroman” (“Blackwhitenovel”). In 2013, she was shortlisted for the German Bookprize (for her novel “Die Sonnenposition”, “The Sunposition”).
