Joyce, James: Kamarazene VII (Chamber Music VII in Hungarian)

Portre of Joyce, James
Portre of Gergely Ágnes

Back to the translator

Chamber Music VII (English)

My Love is in a light attire

Among the apple trees,

Where the gay winds do most desire

To run in companies.

There, where the gay winds stay to woo

The young leaves as they pass,

My love goes slowly, bending to

Her shadow on the grass;

And where the sky's a pale blue cup

Over the laughing land,

My love goes lightly, holding up

Her dress with dainty hand.

Kamarazene VII (Hungarian)

A kedves hab-ruhában áll

Az almafák alatt,

Hol víg szelek csapatja száll

És vágyón szétszalad.

Hol még a szél is megpihen

S bomló rügyet becéz,

Ott jár a kedves szelíden

S az árnyas gyepre néz,

És hol az ég azúr kehely

S kacagva szól a rét:

A kedves arra libben el

Hab-felhőt hintve szét.
