Gyermekkoromban,
átöleltem a fákat, megsimogattam a virágokat.

Arra voltam kíváncsi: mesélni, szépen
énekelni, azok tudnak-e?
Kérdésre, választ kaphatott?

És, hogy a világok kezdetén, vajon
az első embernek, ki felismerte őket,
nevet, miként adott?

Neki, fa és virág,
bemutatkozott?

In my childhood
I embraced the trees, fondled the flowers.

What I was curious to know,
was whether they could tell tales and sing nicely.
Could I receive an answer to that question?

And how, at the beginning of worlds,
did the first man to identified them,
name them?

Did trees and flowers
introduce themselves?
