Talán egyszer hiányzom még,
mikor tavaszt búg egy madár.
Talán felbukkan egy emlék,
és akkor majd gondolsz reám.
Talán lesz nyár és éjszaka,
mikor minden csillag ragyog,
egyedül ülsz egy kis padon,
s azt képzeled, hogy ott vagyok.
Talán a hulló levelek
alatt keress egy lábnyomot,
de visszahozni nem lehet,
amit az idő elmosott.
Mikor még nem volt „te” meg „én”
csak „mi” – ez volt a szerelem?
Akkor nem volt fagy, hó, halál…
Ne tudj feledni sohasem!

Perhaps one day I will be missed,
when a bird a spring-song renders.
Perhaps a memory of me
will come up and you'll remember.
Perhaps there will be summers, nights,
and stars ablaze, yes, quite a few,
and you, alone upon a bench,
will make believe that I'm with you.
Search 'neath the falling leaves perhaps
for trace of footprints left behind;
but what by time was washed away
is gone, and none will ever find.
When there was not a "you" and "I",
just "we" - was love what we begat?
Back then there was no frost or death…
Never be able to forget!
