Cukor voltam,

fölolvadtam az alkony tejében

- ne mondjátok, hogy nem vagyok.

Egyik szobából a másikba léptem,

színes szobából

a színek nélküli szobába,

formák közül a sugarak közé.

A fénynek fordult az arcom azelőtt,

hátam árnyéka ingott a falon.

Most fény vagyok

és hogyha elémállsz,

sugárba fonom az arcod

és hátad árnyékát a falra vetem.

I was sugar,

I dissolved in the milk of the dusk

- do not say that I don't exist.

I stepped from one room into another,

from the colourful room

into the room without colours,

from one with forms to one with rays.

My face used to turn towards the light,

my back's shadow swung on the wall.

Now I am light

and if you stand in front of me,

I wreathe your face with rays

and throw your back's shadow on the wall.
