Amikor az eső alábbhagyott,
Leráztad csukott ernyődről az esőcseppeket,
Kikerültél egy-két pocsolyát,
És az úttól kissé távol állva
Vártál a mindig késve érkező buszra.
 
Lélegzeted látszott
Az isten izzadó testétől
Párás levegőben.
Az eső utáni csendben
Újra nyitottad esernyődet.
És felemelkedtél
Az öregúrhoz.

When the rain eased,
You shook the raindrops from your closed umbrella,
Avoided a couple of puddles and,
Standing a little way off,
Waited for the bus that always ran late.
 
Your breath was visible
In the air made steamy
By the sweating body of god.
You opened your umbrella once more
In the silence that followed the rain.
Then you rose
To join the old gent.
