Késés (Hungarian)

Öt percet késik a vonat,
öt üres percet kapunk a semmitől.
Kitölthetetlen perceket:
mert elterveztük: utazunk,
mert elterveztük: szeretünk,
mert elterveztük: hogy nem maradunk le
még öt percig sem, semmiről!
Kitöltjük előre az űrt,
amely vár.
Elterveztük, hogy kitöltjük magunkkal,
amíg lehet.
Falánk a késés:
nem ismer lehetetlent:
lehetetlent csak mi ismerünk.
S úgy hívjuk: nemlét.
ÉS AZT IS KITÖLTJÜK MAGUNKKAL!
Öt percet késik a vonat:
ezen múlunk.
Ezen múlunk el.

Lateness (English)

The train is five minutes late
we get five idle minutes from the void.
Moments that cannot not be filled:
because we misplanned it: we travel,
because we misplanned it: we love,
because we misplanned: that we would not
miss even five minutes of anything!
We fill the void that awaits
in advance.
We misplanned that we would fill it in
with ourselves for as long as possible.
Lateness is a glutton:
it knows not the meaning of impossible:
only we know the impossible.
And we call it non-existence.
AND WE FILL THAT, TOO, WITH OURSELVES!
The train is five minutes late:
we pass with that.
We will pass on with that.
