Világváros (Magyar)
Lassan úgy érzem,
mintha egy világvárosban élnék,
ahol soha nem áll meg az élet.
A depressziósok
paradicsoma,
ahol mindig le lehet menni
egy utolsó kávéra,
vagy forró csokira.
Egerszeg nyílt város. Bukdácsolok a kiásott árkok,
csatornák között. Régi emlékeket keresek.
Itt egy kézfogás, ott egy találkozás árnyéka mellett
haladok el.
A város is változik, de az emberek is
cserélődnek.
Megbotlom egy csődarabban, a művezető
éppen durván szidja a munkásokat.
Hajléktalanok csoszognak el mellettem, illatuk
megcsap egy pillanatra.
Kávét innék, de sietnem kell.
Célom a régi lakás, a parkon túl.
Vizslapark.* Első szerelmek otthona.
Megállok a parkban, az idő is megáll
bennem, csak a szél fúj, mint a Nagyításban.*
Jó lenne még egyszer élni.
A telefon kijelzőjén háborús hírek.
Jeruzsálemben megint robbantottak.
Egyelőre még messze a vihar.
Van idő felkészülni.
Az ismert úton megyek a platánok felé.
Mindenhol kerékpárút, de én mindig gyalog
járok.
Közelben a régi laktanya, hideg telek érzete
csontjaimban.
Az albérlő kávéval fogad - minden kívánságom
így teljesüljön. Éppen tévét néznek.
Számhoz emelem a poharat, a híradóban
kiadja valaki a tűzparancsot.

Metropolis (Angol)
I am beginning to think, that I might be living in a metropolis where life never stops. It is a paradise for those with depression, where one can always go downstairs for a last coffee or a hot chocolate. Egerszeg is an open town. I look for memories whilst tumbling about among dug ditches and drains. Here and there I pass the shadow of a handshake, or a meeting. The town changes, people also keep changing. I stumble on a length of pipe, the foreman is just swearing at the labourers. Homeless people shuffle past me, their fragrance hits me for a bit. I'd have a coffee, but I need to hurry. I'm aiming for the old flat past the park: Vizslapark*. The home of first loves. I stop in the park. Time in me stops as well, only the wind blows, as in "Blow-up" It would be good to live again. The phone's screen shows war news. There was another explosion in Jerusalem. For the time being, the storm is a long way off. There is time to prepare for it. I'm going on the road I know towards the plane trees. There are bicycle paths everywhere, but I always go on foot. The old army base is nearby, a feeling of cold winters in my bones. The lodger greets me with a coffee - all my wishes should come true like this. They’re just watching TV. I lift the glass to my lips; someone is giving the order to fire in the news. ………………………… * Vizslapark is a park in the heart of town, the favourite evening meeting place of the poet and his friends. * "Blow-up" is a famous 1966 film by the Italian director Michelangelo Antonini.
